Importing A Template on Jupiter Theme

Okay, it's time to get a little more hands-on with this Jupiter X theme review.

Let's start at the beginning by importing one of the above-mentioned templates.

When you install the Jupiter X theme, you will be prompted to run a setup wizard to install the bundled plugins and configure some basic settings.

You also get a control panel area where you can manage the plugins.

To import a template, go to the Templates section and click Import next to the template you want to use. You can also preview or download the template. If desired, PSD files can be provided.

Elementor Header Builder

Jupiter X provides you with 20 different header templates to help you build your header.

You can then further customise things with your new Elementor widgets.

Jupiter X is compatible with:

  • Mega menus
  • Sticky headers
  • Transparent headers

You also have the option of using different headers depending on the device of a visitor. On mobile devices, for example, you could use a slide-out side menu.

Blog Archive/Portfolio Builder

The bundled Elementor add-ons also include dedicated widgets for displaying blog posts or portfolio items, allowing you to create custom archive pages.

For example, you can create a custom query first to determine which content to display (e.g. blog posts vs portfolio items). Then, using Elementor, you can style the output and select which elements to include.

Jupiter WordPress Customizer Controls

You'll use the real-time WordPress Customizer...with a twist...for other customization options.

Artbees uses this custom popup settings area that appears when you click on an option in the Customizer rather than the regular sidebar controls in the Customizer.

Using the WordPress Customizer can be difficult at times due to the amount of vertical scrolling required. This popup, which you can move around the screen as needed, solves the problem by giving you more space to work in, which I found useful.

So, what exactly can you do with the Customizer? Let's start with the two biggies.

WooCommerce Shop Customizer

If you have a WooCommerce store, you'll appreciate the WooCommerce-specific customizer controls, which allow you to customise both your shop pages and single product pages.

Jupiter Page/Post-Level Controls

When working with a single post or page, Jupiter X provides additional customization options in the form of a new Post Options meta box.

This allows you to work with both Elementor and the default WordPress editor.

You can do the following here:

  • Change the layout, including the width, spacing, and use of sidebars.
  • Activate or deactivate certain features, such as social sharing and related posts.
  • Alter your style.
  • Change the settings for the header, footer, or title bar.
  • plus a little bit more

Jupiter X also includes a blank template that allows you to create a completely unique page from scratch.

Jupiter Theme Demos

We already mentioned that there are over 160 ready-to-use demo design templates to choose from. So, let's take a look at some of the design options available.

Create a beautiful store

With the Jupiter theme, you can instantly create a great-looking modern online store. There are several eye-catching online store demo templates to choose from.

Here's a clean and professional minimal creative shop template.

Beautiful Creative template

If you are a creative professional looking to launch your own website, here is a great design from among the many beautiful options available.

Professional landing page

Using the ready landing page template, you can create stunning product landing pages.

How Jupiter Theme Incorporates The Elementor Page Builder

Jupiter X includes the standard free version of Elementor, which you can get from WordPress.org. It does, however, vastly improve on the free version by including two Elementor add-on plugins:

  • Jet Elements – this plugin includes a slew of new advanced widgets (it also made an appearance in our Crocoblock review).
  • Raven – this is Artbees' personal plugin. Aside from some new widgets, it also adds header/footer builder functionality to Elementor. There will be more on this later.

Jupiter Theme WooCommerce Integration

If you have a WooCommerce store, you will appreciate some of Jupiter X's WooCommerce integrations. Aside from the 8 included templates, the real-time WordPress Customizer provides a plethora of customization options for your product pages.

Jupiter Theme Shop Composer

With Jupiter and the WooCommerce plugin, you can create your own online store. The best part is the live shop composer, which allows you to fine-tune the design of your shop while viewing a real-time preview.

In the live composer, you can edit the image, text, colour, and a variety of other elements, making your life much easier.

Create a completely unique design for your online store using Jupiter's Shop Customizer.

Jupiter Theme Blog Layouts

If you are a blogger looking for a high-quality theme for your blog, Jupiter X is a great option.

The theme provides you with an infinite number of blog layout options, allowing you to create visually appealing and engaging layout options for your blog.

Using the Elementor website builder, you can customise every element on your Jupiter-created blog.

Theme Options in Jupiter Theme

Theme Options are an important aspect of the user experience. Anyone who has worked with WordPress knows that the theme options take up the majority of the time in the beginning. There are some basic options for tinkering with the theme.

Would you like to change the logo or the header? Simply go to the theme option and you'll be able to change them both!

To begin, Jupiter provides excellent theme options and an admin panel. There are seven major sections in the theme option. General, Styling, Typography, Portfolio, Blog/News, E-Commerce, and Advanced are the categories. You may have guessed the purpose of each section.

Let's go over the main things you can change in the theme options.

  1. Logo change
  2. Social network icons
  3. Google Analytics
  4. Mail Chimp
  5. Custom Sidebars
  6. Speed Optimizations
  7. Headings
  8. Shortcodes
  9. SEO

Jupiter Theme SEO performance

Jupiter has one advantage over the other theme in the same multi-purpose category. The theme performs admirably in terms of SEO. This includes not only high-quality code but also good Google rankings.

So, how does a site become SEO Optimized? First and foremost, it must adhere to all of Google's guidelines.

In addition, the framework required to build the theme from the ground up should be SEO optimised and adhere to the SEO guidelines.

Jupiter makes use of a fully optimised framework. To top it all off, all of the available templates are SEO optimised for improved results.

The main challenge for a business is to publish content that is both SEO optimised and targeted to their specific audience. The support for SEO plugins is the final thing you should know about the theme of SEO compatibility.

Yes, it supports Yoast SEO, one of the most popular SEO plugins available in the plugins marketplace, but you can also use other SEO plugins if you believe they are better suited to your needs.

Jupiter Theme Performance

The Jupiter X test site is hosted on a $5 DigitalOcean droplet and runs entirely on Nginx with PHP 7.4 installed (configured by RunCloud). The droplet is located in New York.

Despite its low cost, this setup is faster than many shared WordPress hosts, indicating that the test site has a solid foundation.

We'll test two of Jupiter X's 400+ pre-built demo sites to create a realistic test scenario. Here are the two sites that will be tested:

  • The Agency 4 demo site is a one-page design.
  • Personal Portfolio demonstration site, which is also a one-page design.

The fact that all of Jupiter X's demo content is built with Elementor is critical to understanding. So, when testing its performance, the focus is on how Jupiter X and Elementor work together.

We'll also test the Jupiter X theme on its own to add another data point. While this is not a realistic scenario for a real-world site, it should give you an idea of how the Jupiter X base theme compares to other options on our list of the fastest WordPress themes.

Furthermore, depending on the actual demo site you select, your site may be "heavier" or "lighter" than our two test sites. Again, there are over 400 different demo sites, so their performance will not be perfectly equal.

We'll use WebPageTest with the following configuration to collect performance data:

  • For each test run, run nine separate tests and use the median value (this eliminates testing variability)
  • Test from the Dulles, Virginia server
  • Use a FIOS 20 Mbps connection*, which is about the average Internet speed in the United States.

*When using a throttled connection, the results will be "slower" than when using an unthrottled speed test tool. It is, however, more accurate to the actual experiences your users will have. This is important to remember if you want to compare this data to another theme that you tested with a tool like Pingdom.

First, we'll run each demo site without any performance tweaks. Then, after installing and activating WP Rocket, we'll run a second test to see how fast you can make Jupiter X if you use all of the performance-boosting strategies provided by WP Rocket.

WP Rocket by default enables page caching, browser caching, Gzip compression, and a few other tactics. We'll also enable file optimization and some other tactics, such as lazy loading, manually.

How Fast Is the Jupiter Theme?

It is true that faster loading websites have a higher sale conversion rate than slower loading sites. What if your website loads in a fraction of a second? Your sales will skyrocket as a result!

Jupiter theme loads in 1.17 seconds and has a page speed score of 90%. To make the site load faster, the developers used a variety of techniques.

To achieve the same results, you'll need a good dedicated server rather than a shared server. The admin panel employs the Vue Model, which makes it extremely fast. It is nearly three times faster than other themes.

Pros & Cons of Using Jupiter

When selecting a WordPress theme, one of the most important factors to consider is performance, but it is not the only factor to consider. So, before we go, let's go over some of the benefits and drawbacks of using the Jupiter X theme to build your WordPress website.

Pros

  • Jupiter X provides over 400 different importable demo sites, giving you a great deal of flexibility in selecting a starting point for your website. Most importantly, the demo sites look fantastic and were clearly designed by professionals.
  • For drag-and-drop building, you get a very tight Elementor integration. In addition to the core Elementor plugin, Jupiter X's premium version includes a number of Elementor add-ons to help you design your header, footer, and other areas of your site without the need for Elementor Pro.
  • Jupiter X includes some really useful options in the WordPress Customizer that go beyond Elementor integration to give you more flexibility. In general, it has a very detailed set of style options in the Customizer, which is useful for configuring global colours and styles for your Elementor designs.
  • Individual pieces of content have very detailed page-level controls. At the page level, you can configure almost everything, from layouts to styles and whether or not to display specific content.

Cons

  • Not really a con, but Jupiter X is heavily reliant on Elementor. If you prefer a different page builder, you may prefer a theme like Astra, which includes demo sites for multiple page builders as well as the native WordPress block editor.

Jupiter Theme Documentation and Support

Any complete theme includes not only features but also documentation and support. Jupiter comes with extensive documentation that anyone, regardless of knowledge, can use.

Their knowledge Base (KB) ensures that you get an answer to all of the common problems that a user may encounter while setting up or running a website using the Jupiter theme.

Jupiter also provides support in the form of tickets and emails to ensure complete coverage and to assist end-users with varying working environments and requirements.

You can also post your question on the Jupiter forum and have it answered by experienced users or support staff.

Overall, you will receive excellent documentation to begin with, and you can always rely on their support to solve any problems that may arise.

Who Should Choose Jupiter?

If you're still reading this review, congratulations. We covered a wide range of Jupiter's features.

The real question, however, is who should buy Jupiter. Is it intended for creatives or just regular users? Both are correct.

If you are a WordPress developer and build websites with WordPress, you should give Jupiter a try.

You can begin your website creation process by selecting one of the templates and then customising it to meet the needs of the client.

Jupiter can also be a great purchase for a regular user because it includes all of the features needed to run a successful website: SEO optimization, documentation, support, templates, and so on.
